- ItemTHE DESCRIPTION OF THE POTENTIAL ON SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED FOOD INDUSTRIES IN ORDER TO IMPROVE COMPETITIVENESS(International Research Association for Talent Development and Excellence, Vol.12, No.2s, 2020) Suratman, Maman; Sinaga, ObsatarTo improve the added value and employment of the small and medium-sized food industries, a study need to be done in order to map out the potentials, disadvantages, opportunities and threats towards the small and mediumsized food industries, in order to face the globalization era. This activity aims to obtain data and information of The Potential of Small and Medium-sized Food Industries. The study using a descriptive research method with survey techniques. From the 16 aspects of the profile components of small and medium-sized food industries, 10 aspects (62.5%) had included in a good category. The last 6 aspects (37.5%) had included in the medium category. Another threat faced by small and medium-sized food industries comes from China, associated with the implementation of CAFTA. Yet behind this threat, there is an opportunity for small and medium-sized industries to flood the markets of China and ASEAN. The challenge is the ability of the small and medium-sized industries to produce innovative products.
- ItemEXAMINING THE INFLUENCE OF FORESTRY VALUE ADDED DIMENSIONS ON CLIMATE CHANGE IN THAILAND(International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, Vol.11, No.6, 2021) Suratman, Maman; Hitam, MizanTo get the meaningful results against the increasing challenges of the nature and climate, more focus is required towards sustainability in multiple dimensions. This study examines the six dimensions of forestry on four measures of climate change. The time duration of this study has considered the five decades; 1970-2018 on annual basis. Overall results are presented under descriptive results, whereas findings for the individual coefficients are presented. It is observed that There is a negative impact of agriculture, forestry, and fishing or FA on electric power consumption abbreviated as CH1, whereas positive and significant impact from FD, FE and FF is observed. On the other hand, for CH2 or energy usage, key determinants are FA, FDFF under full sample period. For CH3 or Nitrous Oxide emission, there is highly significant and negative impact from FA, while FD and FF are also positively influencing the Nitrous Oxide emission during 1970-2018 on annual basis. For Methane emissions, positive determination is experienced from FD and FF. The findings under present study would provide good understand for the relationship between forestry factors and climate change dimensions in Thailand. In addition, literature contribution is also observed with the help of present study and in the regional context of Thailand too. As per the implication present study can be utilized for examining the relationship between forestry factors and climate change dynamics. However, some limitations are associated with this research like, examining the two directional association between forest and climate change, cross sectional regional comparisons, and implication of both short and long term relationship between the variables of the study. Future studies may reasonably address these limitations as it can provide some more literature contribution in the targeted fields.

- ItemPATH ANALYSIS OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING MODEL IN DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT(International Research Association for Talent Development and Excellence, Vol.12, No.2s, 2020) Suratman, Maman; Sinaga, ObsatarThis study questioned the effectiveness of Experiential Learning (EL) which conducted by Student Cooperative (Kopma) board throughout Bandung, associated with professional competence of cooperative management. This research is motivated by keen criticism of cooperative learning methods that tends to be unattractive, poor of inspiring case studies and comparative studies, unable to provide ideological bearings. By using the survey method with path analysis technique, the result of the study indicates that the cooperative board had implemented all EL cycles, which starts from the actual experience, reflection, generalization and implementation with an average of high intensity. Whereas the hypothesis test showed that the EL, either simultaneously or partially, significantly effected towards the professional competence of Cooperative management.

- ItemSOCIAL DEVELOPMENT FROM NUCLEAR AND OTHER ENERGY: A MYTH OR REALITY FROM INDONESIA(International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, Vol.11, No.6, 2021) Suratman, MamanThe purpose of this research in Indonesia is to explore the trends and patterns of social development defined by the energy sources during the time of 1985-2017 with a range of statistical methods and procedures. The above stated purpose is addressed with the help of multiple regression methods which is the most cited measure for examining the determinantal impact of independent variables on dependent variables. Therefore, this study has utilized the same method where results are provided in five different 4 different tables. As a complementary work, descriptive measures for example, athematic mean, standard deviation of the mean, and minimum maximum values during the study period are also presented and explained. Both positive and negative influence of energy factors on all five social development measures is examined, however, four out of five measures of social development are found to be insignificant when the effect of fossil fuel is tested. Addition to this, alternative and nuclear energy is positively defining the vulnerable employment of male and females, and negatively affecting the labor force participation and Life expectancy at birth, female (years). The research is suggested to the department of social development specifically in Indonesia, and country-level administrative authorities while exploring the impact of energy variables on development of Indonesian community.
