dc.description	ABSTRACT This thesis is entitled “Pronomina Persona You pada Novel The Da Vinci Code Karya Dan Browm dan Terjemahannya.” The aim of this research is to describe the grammatical unit which can replacing personal pronoun ‘you’ and also to find out whether the personal pronoun ‘you’ is anaphoric or cataphoric. The method used in this research is descriptive comparative one. Using this method, the writer compares and analyses the source language data with its tranlations in the target language, and then drws a conclusion from the performed analysis in order to reach the purpose of this research. The data which are analyzed is taken from novel The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and its translations. The result of this research shows that personal pronoun ‘you’ can be function as subject and object. Personal pronoun ‘you’ can point backward or anaphoric and also forward or cataphoric. In the translation personal pronoun ‘you’ can change or has fricative meaning.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	ABSTRAK Skripsi ini berjudul Pronomina Persona You pada Novel The Da Vinci Code Karya Dan Browm dan Terjemahannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan satuan gramatikal yang dapat digantikan oleh pronomina persona you serta mengetahui apakah pronomina persona you bersifat anaforis atau kataforis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode deskriptif komparatif. Dengan metode ini, penulis membandingkan dan menganalisis data dalam bahasa sumber dengan hasil terjemahannya, kemudian menarik simpulan dari analisis yang telah dilakukan agar tujuan penelitian tercapai. Data yang dianalisis diambil dari novel The Da Vinci Code Karya Dan Brown dan terjemahannya. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pronomina persona ‘you’ dapat berfungsi sebagai subjek dan objek. Pronomina persona ‘you’ dapat bersifat anaforis atau mengacu ke belakang maupun bersifat kataforis atau mengacu ke depan. Pronomina persona ‘you’ dalam terjemahannya ada yang mengalami perubahan atau pergeseran makna.	en_US
