Abstract
The gear is an important component used in vehicle engines and industrial machinery, gear serves
to transfer a motion energy from the engine block to another drive tool, so that the condition of the gear that
is often used can experience damage because of excessive heat from the results of a very fast rotation, things
can lead to rapid wear and broken gear conditions, gear condition checks serve to avoid a more severe
damage that could impede performance on a vehicle engine or industrial machine. Under certain conditions
gear or observation can be done manually, but the condition is not possible if large-scale or industrial gear
inspection, on a large-scale examination can use machine vision method, this method is very useful to check
the circumstances of gear in time and the number of gear components many, the display of this system the
condition of the gear will be visually visible based on the number of components or level of wear on the
gear, good gear conditions are only given a sign while in the gear in damaged condition will be displayed by
the system with the number of marking more than one depending on the circumstances gear components are
checked, each marking represents the value of area, perimeter, metric, Eccentricity, equivdiameter etc.
