dc.description.abstractIn order to win the hard competition firms must have a specific concept. The situation of business is always uncertain. There are many factors causing this condition. However, many people seem to believe that globalization can be a main factor in business that makes rivalry among industries harder. The popularity of benchmarking in business world grows very rapidly these days. This is because it has ability to improve the performance condition of firms especially in daily routine operation level. Benchmarking is basically a sharing information among similar industry. They have a commitment relationship to fix their organization performance. Therefore, it is very essential that one of them should have a better condition than its counterpart. This paper tries to explain the situation between airport industry and reasons influence decision makers to utilized benchmarking as an instrument to improve performance of airfield business.en_US
