dc.description.abstract | The Japanese has some verbal expressions which mean "to give" and " to receive". This expression is often called "Yari-Morai". In the phrase "Yari-Morai", there are 3 kinds of verbs highly related, such as "あげる" (Ageru), "くれる" (kureru) meant” to give", and "もらう" (morau) meant "to receive". However, the use of the verb "あげる", "くれる" and "もらう" is not as simple as that in the meaning of "giving" and receiving in the Indonesian language. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire that presents the sentences using the verb action "to give" and "to receive" in various situations. In this questionnaire, respondents chose the verb "あげる", "くれる", "もらう" appropriately, both as a main verb and as a verb complement (hojodooshi). 36 questions on the tests were given to 11 students in semester V for 40 minutes. From the tests given, the lowest value 12 points (33,3%) is obtained from students who answer the questions correctly. Meanwhile the highest value 76 points (72,2%) is obtained from the students who answer the questions correctly. This means that the average yield obtained from the above percentage is only 55.3%. From the results above, it is shown that language acquisition of particularly "Yari-Morai" is still low. Knowing the results above, the author tries to analyze the causes of these errors on the students. As an early conclusion, students still do not understand the concept of direction of who gave and to whom something is given in the phrase "Yari-Morai". Meanwhile in the Indonesian language, the verb " to give" can be used to anyone including the 1st person, and superiors. In addition, leaners are difficult to implement "Keigo" in a real communication, dealing with the concept of "うち" and "そ と". | en_US |
