EXPLORING THE LINKAGE BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE: A Study of Literature
(Journal of Advanced Research in Dynamical & Control Systems, Vol. 11, 03-Special Issue, 2019) Mardiana, Siti; Tjakratmadja, J.H.
The paper aims at defining the correlation between organizational culture and knowledge management (KM) found in literature. Papers were selected based on the content of the study concerning the correlation between KM and competing values framework (CVF). The literature study has revealed that clan culture is proven to be a suitable surrogate culture for knowledge management practice in general. Clan culture outperforms adhocracy culture that used to be the culture for innovation. However, adhocracy culture predicts more accurately on the success of KM technologies adoption. Surprisingly market culture has an overall medium impact on KM as adhocracy culture, even though general assumption always put market culture as a tough culture for knowledge sharing. Hierarchical culture, as expected, has low impact on KM practices.
