- ItemANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF FUEL SYSTEM, FUEL TYPES AND SPARK PLUG TYPES ON CO2 GAS EXHAUST USING FACTORIAL DESIGN(International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Vol.24, Issue 02, 2020) Komarudin, Udin; Suryaman, Nia Nuraeni; Martoni; Hirary, MarisaThe vehicle combustion system, the type of fuel used and the type of spark plugs, are some of the variables that affect motor vehicle exhaust gases. Some exhaust gases (pollutants) by motorized vehicles include Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Monoxide (NOx), Hydrocarbon (HC), and Lead, smoke and ash, where Exhaust gas can pollute the air and greatly affect human health. From a number of variables that influence motorized exhaust gas, the author determines the combustion system variable, namely the Carburetors and EFI types, the fuel variable type is Premium (octane 88) and Pertamax (octane 92), as well as the spark plug type variable and Iridium spark plugs, as variables main effect to analyze CO2 exhaust gas. The motorized vehicle used as a trial is a 4-step duck motorcycle, 110 cc. The test equipment used to analyze exhaust gas is the Kane Gas Analyzer (Class1). The research method used is factorial design and variable analysis using Yates' Algorithm, the same as in the previous experiment [1]. Yates’s Algorithm Analysis results that the effect of CO2 exhaust is the greatest due to the fuel system of 1.117 (EFI), the second effect is the type of fuel of 0.450 (Pertamax), and the third effect is the type of spark plug of -0.050 (standard spark plug).
- ItemTHE EFFECT OF CURING TIME ON WATER CONTENT IN THE METAL CASTING PROCESS(International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Vol.24, Issue 02, 2020) Suryaman, Nia Nuraeni; Santoso, Heru; Prasetia, AdhitaSilica sand is one type of sand that is often used by industries engaged in metal casting. This is because silica sand is used as a molding material. Besides being easily formed, this silica sand when mixed with chemicals such as resins and catalysts will achieve maximum hardness. In order to achieve the maximum strength of the sand mold, a curing time process is needed. After the molding material is mixed and stirred, the drying time starts to be calculated. Achieve maximum strength because the mixture reacts during curing time. This study aims to observe and study the effect of differences in curing time on the water content of alphaset molds. Curing time variations are at 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours. This research went through several stages of testing, including: sand distribution testing, compression test, water content test, LOI testing and SEM testing. The focus of this research is testing the water content. A good sample used for alphaset molding is one that has no water content. The results showed that samples that could be used were those that had curing time of 6 hours, 8 hours and 72 hours. This is because at the curing time it has a water content of 0%.
- ItemSTUDY MAPPING OF RUBBER PRODUCTS AND MARKETS IN INDONESIA(Solid State Technology Volume: 63 Issue: 3, 2020) Suryaman, Nia Nuraeni; Rahmana, AriefRubber is one of the strategic commodities because it plays a role as the source of life for millions of farmers and people who directly or indirectly depend on the rubber industry. Besides that, it is also a source of state income in the form of foreign exchange from exports and is known as a plant capable of eliminating the effect of global warning and absorbing carbon dioxide. The purpose of this activity is to carry out surveys, mapping and verification of products and markets for rubber products in Indonesia. The research methodology carried out in the form of stages of implementation, coordination and Survey with related parties; delivery, installation and trial; handover of goods / work results. The results of this study are the domestic rubber goods market is still dominated by rubber goods in the form of tires, both for 4-wheeled and 2-wheeled vehicles. During the last five years, the average consumption of tires for all types of domestic vehicles has reached around 62 million pcs. Meanwhile, the market for other rubber goods such as vehicle components, hoses, pipes and rubber vessels and rubber gloves also has a sizable consumption in the country.
