- ItemTHE APPLICATION OF IMPROVED NEAREST NEIGHBOR HEURISTIC TO SOLVE VEHICLE ROUTING PROBLEM FOR RICE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IN BANDUNG(Solid State Technology Volume: 63 Issue: 4, 2020) Sopandi, Deryl Baharudin; Ardiansyah, Dicka; Pangestu, Diki; Hasanah, Tatun Uswatun; Saragih, Nova IndahCaringin Central Market is one of the largest wholesale markets in Bandung. This market was built by the private sector and received full support from the City Government. This market serves traditional markets in the city of Bandung, including the rice commodity. The transportation system currently used by Caringin Central Market to distribute rice to traditional markets is direct delivery. Direct delivery causes high transportation costs. The difference in transportation costs between direct delivery and shared delivery is up to 19.5%. The method used in this study is a heuristic with the Improved Nearest Neighbor Heuristic (INNH) to determine the most effective Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) solving. The performance measure of the model is the transportation cost and then the model is solved using the Matlab. The results of this study are the optimal vehicle route by comparing the results of the Lingo solver in the previous study with the results of the Matlab in this study. The transportation costs for direct delivery are 41,069,529 IDR the transportation costs resulting from the Lingo solver are 33,988,890 IDR, and the resulting transportation costs from the Matlab are 34,038,039 IDR. Transportation cost efficiency obtained from this study is 0.15%
- ItemTHE APPLICATION OF INVENTORY MODEL IN MATERIAL PLANNING DEPARTMENT AT COMPANY OF XYZ(International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Vol.24, Issue 02, 2020) Saragih, Nova Indah; Tobing, Martin Decker LumbanCompany of XYZ is the first company in Indonesia to produce airplanes. Materials needed to produce the airplanes consist of metal, non-metal, and others. In the production process, there is condition where materials of metals are not available or run out. The unavailable materials are then substituted with other materials of metals. The problem is there are several substituted materials that are more expensive than the initial materials. On average, the difference or the price gap between the substituted materials and the initial materials is 105.78%. This gap shows that the Company of XYZ needs to control their inventory more effectively. An inventory model is applicated to the real system which is Material Planning Department to decrease this gap. That inventory model is simple probabilistic model. The result shows that the simple probabilistic model is able to decrease the gap to become 32.81%.
- ItemCITY LOGISTICS FOR MEGA CITY: A CONCEPTUAL MODEL (Case Study: DKI Jakarta)(Joint International Conference on Electric Vehicular Technology and Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical Engineering (ICEVT & IMECE) 2015,Universitas Sebelas Maret, Institut Teknologi Bandung, 2015-11-04) Saragih, Nova Indah; Bahagia, Senator Nur; Suprayogi; Syabri, IbnuAs one of the mega cities in the world, to meet the needs of its population, DKI Jakarta not only faces logistics problem which is low availability, but also transportation problem which is traffic congestion. Those problems show that DKI Jakarta needs an urban logistics system that is not only effective and efficient, but also that does not add its transportation problem. Urban logistics system that takes into account traffic congestion is known as city logistics. Therefore, to address these needs, city logistics needs to be developed in DKI Jakarta. The importance of considering traffic congestion in developing urban logistics systems is due to traffic conditions that are getting worse lately in many cities in the world. This research is trying to develop city logistics that is able to solve low availability and traffic congestion problems as well. City logistics that is able to solve the problems has never been developed before. To develop city logistics for the problems, it needs to determine city logistics system, fundamental concept of city logistics, and initiatives of city logistics that are able to solve the problems.
