    AN APPLICATION OF GIS FOR CITY LOGISTICS

    Information technology advancement, and supply chain/logistics management practices have led to the increasing demand of products. This has brought consequences to freight transport, more and more freight transports are running on city streets try to fulfil demands. Along with economic advantages it brings, the situation also contributes negative effects for the city livelihoods, such as pollution and congestion. A recent coined paradigm from urban management field called City Logistics, concerns with the importance of city freight activities for city economics, and in the same time, highlights the negative effects it produces. By harnessing geographic information technology, this research tries to recognize the role and characteristics of city freight through the paradigm of City Logistics.

    COUPLING OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM AND OPTIMIZATION METHOD WITH CONGESTION CONSIDERATION TO SUPPORT URBAN FREIGHT TRANSPORT

    The study aimed to evaluate focus and quality of Indonesian e-government website. All 456 websites of districtsicities throughout the country are .taken into account. The study revealed that 66.9% ofdistrictslcities had their own website and were in operations, while other were either still embedded into website ofprovince, not found, or inaccessible. In general, the websites focused on promoting linkage between government and business, while efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery offrontline services were less prioritized. The quality ofthe website in general was in medium level, both in terms ofthe quality ofcontent and the level ofease-ofuse.
