Abstract
The quality of employee competence is one important factor in
improving the quality of human resources within an enterprise, therefore the
management ability of employees by a company must be done professionally,
because it involves an enterprise resource advantages. But in fact the
performance of employees at PT. TimahInvestasi Mineral itself is relatively
low, it is thought to be caused by employee competence is still relatively low,
but only competence alone is not enough to improve the performance of
employees, but must be supported by appropriate compensation to the
employee's own achievements. Because it is a very important study on
compensation and competency in improving the performance of employees of
PT. TimahInvestasi Mineral.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation
and competency in improving employee performance, either simultaneously or
partially, as well as descriptive discussed. The method used is descriptive and
verification. The unit of analysis in this study were employees of PT.
TimahInvestasi Mineral totaling 50 people, and the census is taken.
The findings of this study were Compensation affect the performance
of employees of PT. TimahInvestasi Mineral and isa significant influence.
Compensation and Competency together a significant effect in improving the
performance of employees of PT. TimahInvestasiMineral.But compensation
dominant than competence affect employee performance.
