Abstract: Performance of a teacher is very important because it determines the success of the learners and the achievement of educational goals that will ultimately have an impact on national development . In District Bojongsoang particular , according to research based on interviews with the supervisory and related parties , teacher performance can be said is not maximized . An examination of the social , pedagogical , personal, and professional , there are teachers who do not qualify as a professional teacher . Theoretically teacher performance is influenced by internal factors ( from the inside ) and external factors ( from outside ) . This study aimed to determine the effect of principal leadership in terms of external and internal work motivation in terms of the performance of teachers , especially in the District of Bandung Regency Bojongsoang . The method used in this study is a survey verification and explanatory . To test the hypothesis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis . The population in this study were elementary school teachers in the District of Bandung Regency Bojongsoang and the sample was 214 teachers from 12 schools were taken at random . From the results of this study concluded that the principal's leadership and significant positive effect on teacher performance , work motivation positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers and school leadership and motivation to work simultaneously positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers .
