Abstract: Being government employees or a pun companies had something very in were interested in it by any circles of society. Of course it with endoplasm the progress of nations where if the performance of an the employee low hence the quality of human resources in the country become less good, physical resources, by taking into account finance, the ability of markets, and human resources as well as related to how to run these sources. Low-self the employee performance in an organization can result in it seems that an organization in achieving its goal. The influence of compensation on the performance is the most massive thing it is plausible because with the welfare and fulfilled the necessities of life a person of either monetary and non-monetary then the performance of a person in this will increase Suryo (2011). Research is aimed to know the influence of between compensation for the performance of an employee at Kebon Waru detention of Bandung in a period of 2011 - 2012. Hasibuan (2003) noted that compensation is all income in the form of money goods directly or indirectly received employees as return for returns given by a company. Anwar Prabu Mangkunegara (2000) noted that performance was a result of working and quantity of reached by someone employees in carrying out tasks in accordance with responsibility are given to him. According to Mathis and Jackson (2001) is costing compensation shall be at a rate that ensure the effectiveness of the company and the provision of return that was appropriate for all the employees to ability, a craft knowledge, and the establishment of their performance. A method of research used in this research is a method of research descriptive with the technique of collecting data through field studies, and libraries. Based on a method of probability of sampling of Sugiyono ( 2011 ) with a population of 147 respondents and got the number of respondents sample of the 120 employees is asked to express his opinion upon compensation and performance of employees. Based on research results that have been doing that compensation role in influencing performance by employees with the value of the correlation 0,557 and from these calculations can get a coefficient in determination ( 31,02 %, worth kd ) that means that compensation affected by performance by employees 31,02 % of the remaining 68,98 % influenced by these factors are not investigated by the writer Thus can be concluded that between compensation with the performance of employees have leverage 0,557, is as much as that means that the value rspad are among the 0,40 - 0,599, and based on the interval koevisien influence between compensation with the performance of employees to be said “ strong enough “ and clockwise direction The advice given on employees is should feel proud as be in a work environment so that it can bring up a motivation that will contribute to performance, when the performance of increased institutions will provide reciprocal toward an employee in the form of compensation that will be on give according to her performance.
